I recently got a chance to sample some of the VJC products, and decided to share a few swatches and photos with you guys! Their products are simply amazing and look very natural providing a great way to wear makeup without looking cakey or like a mask!
My favorite product from them is their Perfect Everyday Blush in shade Sparkling Rose. I swear that this blush is highly pigmented, and it sparkled on my brown skin tone and really made my cheeks pop. To be honest it’s become an everyday favorite of mine, and I’ll probably included it in my next favorites video on youtube. I really adore the texture of the product and the fact that it makes my skin glow without overpowering my complexion.
Now as a woman of color many of us stay away from bronzers, but let me tell you that you really should give them a try. They’re a great alternative to blush if you don’t like color on your cheeks and they can be a great way to bring some highlight and sculpting to your face without all of that contouring nonsense. Victoria Jackson also sent me their bronzing powder Here Comes The Sun in shade medium and what’s nice about it is the fact that it’s matte. A very hard thing to come by when it comes to bronzers. This product provided a nice natural sun kissed look on my cheeks without all the unnatural shimmers that you get with typical bronzers.
If you didn’t already know, you should always prime your face before applying you makeup. It’s essentially in insuring that you makeup will last longer and held to your face for hours. VJC has a great one called Retexturcreme and it’s perfect for those dry skin days where you wake up and your skin just looks dull. What’s great about it is that it really does smooth your skin out and prep it for foundations. There’s a lot of products on the market that claim to do this, but this one actually does! My makeup went on much smoother after using it, and lasted longer then usually.
Victoria Jackson also has a rather nice mascara called Lush Mascara and contains a nice smooth formula that adds volume to your lashes without the clumps! Perfect if you’re looking to glam up your overall makeup look while still showcasing a natural appearance.
