2012 Critics’ Choice Awards Hairstyles and Makeup. The stars showcased many hair and makeup trends at tonight’s awards. My favorite look of the night was Charlize Theron who wore a sexy and seductive side braid, and kept her makeup natural with flesh tone hues. Other hair trends that we saw on the red carpet included messy updos, hair knots, half up half down styles, and side buns. For makeup many of the ladies wore gorgeous bold lip colors, from fuschia, to orange and of course red. There weren’t as many cat or smokey eyes as last night’s awards, but none the less dramatic and bold lashes were in full effect. Look below to see the best looks of the night.
